瀬戸内海国立公園の中心に位置する小豆島。瀬戸内の穏やかな海と気候、起伏に富んだ美しい地形、どこか懐かしい原風景に、都会から訪れると心がほどけるのを感じます。
波の音や鳥のさえずり、海から吹く風が届ける潮の香りや薪のパチパチとはぜる音と共に届く心地よい香り。
そんな小豆島の自然を五感で楽しみたい、そして小豆島を訪れる方々にも知っていただきたいという想いでこのSHIMASTREAMが誕生しました。
島のみなさまに助けて頂きながら、土地の潜在自然植生を生かし、島の石を生かし、様々な廃材をアップサイクルしながらDIYで誕生したSHIMASTREAMはちょっと無骨でどこか不恰好。
そんな無機質でありながら有機的な施設と小豆島の自然との調和を、お楽しみ頂ければ幸いです。
Shodoshima Island is located in the center of the Seto Inland Sea National Park. Visitors from the city will feel their hearts relax with the calm sea and climate of the Seto Inland Sea, the beautiful topography of the island’s rugged terrain, and beautiful landscape scenery.
The sound of waves and birds chirping, the scent of the sea breeze and the pleasant aroma of crackling firewood.
We created SHIMASTREAM for others let them enjoy the nature of Shodoshima with all five senses, to introduce visitors to Shodoshima. With the help of the islanders, SHIMASTREAM was born as a “Do It Yourself” project, making use of the natural vegetation of the land, the indigenous island stones, and various recycled scrap materials.
